Patrick's Web Site- Armada for Dreamcast

This does not deserve the title "Worst Dreamcast Lauch Game" in my opinion, though it may very well be. The graphics are pretty bad, there is little music, and the gameplay is repetitive. But it is easily worth the $15 at your local Wal-Mart. You are an indepentant trader/warrior, thrust in the middle of a giant, bloddy war. Your mission, should you chose to accept it, is bring victory to your futuristic race. The plot is pretty bad, especially since there is no way to lose, though the game keeps track of your deaths, amognst other things. If you've ever played Raptor, than you are familiar with this type of combat/RPG, though Armada takes place in deep space. You have total freedom, and can easily get home. The game is confusing and simple, with little replay value. Though th style is addictive, it easily gets repetitive. In short, this game is for fans of the genre and noone else.

Graphics: 4 I've seen nicer Game Gear games. Not worthy of being on the Dreamcast.

Gameplay: 8 Simple and addictive, though confusing at times.

Replay Value: 6 Addictive.

Sound/Music: 7 The voices are well done and plentiful, the music is bad and hard to find, and the sound ain't special.

Average: 6.3 Average space/RPG. Steer clear if you're not a fan. And lots to improve upon for the possible sequel.
