Patrick's Web Site- Rayman 2 for Dreamcast
Sequel to a great 3D platformer. 3D platformers are usually the most popular genre, with such games as Crash, Mario, Sonic, Croc, Bug, and Rayman. They have great graphics for their time, and Rayman 2 is of course no exception. But like Bug, Rayman seems a little too... cartoony for older kids' tastes. The control scheme is a little odd, but simple, and there are few 'baddies' and more puzzles. There is some replay value, but certainly not as much as Sonic Adventure. I have heard only very fem musics in this game, only sounds, which are good. This is a good 3D platformer, if you've played SA to death and can't wait for SA2.
Graphics: 9.5 Great, but a little too... cartoony.
Gameplay: 9 Good platformer, few baddies, more puzzles. Better, IMO, than Croc and Mario, but not as good as Crash or Sonic.
Replay Value: 7 About as much as Croc. In other words, not much.
Music/Sound: 7 Little, if any music, and good sound.
Average: 8.2 I've said it many times and can't seem to stop... good 3D platformer.
