Patrick's Web Site- Silver for Dreamcast
Silver is an adventure/RPG, similar to Quest for Glory. They are both adventure games with RPG elements. For example, there are people you can talk to and receive knowledge and items that you would otherwise not have. There are also a few side quests and one main quest, find Fuge and take back your wife. You start off the game with a sword and a practice session with your grandfather. When this is done, Fuge and his men kidnap your wife. You have to follow him to his lair, while he dispathes men (only a few at a time, though) to keep you from getting too close. The camera doesn't zoom-in for battles or anything else, which is anoyying. The graphics aren't what you would expect from a good Dreamcast game, either. But the gameplay makes up for it.
Bottom Line:
Graphics: 7.0 No zooming and a bad battle camera position.
Gameplay: 9.0 Battles are short and easy for the most part.
Music/Sound: 8.0 Not as many different musics, but the sound is pretty good for the most part.
Replay Value: 7.5 I haven't played the whole game over, but some parts are worth seeing again.
Average: 7.9 Good gameplay and poor graphics combine to make a game worth buying but not worth getting too excited over.
